Dug this piece up

Anyone have any info on this piece, I dug it up in Aus Vic near an old gold mine

I'd guess something Australian with the kangaroo on it.

I don't understand what is going on with the back, but I would guess that it is a souvenir item. The silver looks like pot metal and the white looks like Lucite to me.

The white looks like that 50s confetti lucite to me. I wonder if it might have been a closure on a 50s purse, they had a lot of the plastic see through purses with patterning on them at the time.

size wise it could be a charm from a bracelet. looks like the top hole is broken/open.

It does look like a charm/pendant and I would guess a souvenir piece or part of a souvenir, with the kangaroo and boomerang - very cliché Australian.
