how much should it cost me to send a brooch from the USA to the UK via some way that won't take 6 weeks?

I looked it up on the USPS site, but I don't know if I can make it work in an envelope or not.

I send most jewelry in padded envelopes ~ carefully wrapped. I ship for free in the U.S. It usually doesn't cost more than $2 - $3 to send it to the UK.
