DVF shirt - date? Too horrid for eBay? :)

This has been at the bottom of my pile for a while - it's either list or back to the charity shop......all advice welcome (and the label isn't on the resource so feel free!)

I kind of like it... :o

Surely the combination of DVF and 'secretary' in the title will get some looks?

I kind of like it too, and it is black and white with bows!!

Go ahead...LIST IT!!!

This would look great with a pair of high waisted Katherine Hepburn type
40s trousers! (black).

Is that pattern little bows? I think it would look nice like Sue said, with the right mix & match pieces.

I've seen some DVF stuff and thought to myself - "I don't get it".

Tee hee, that was a BIG surprise this morning I can tell you!! :)

I'm slightly shocked, most DVF non-wrap-dress pieces are near impossible to sell on ebay but yes, I can see that with the right ensemble (on the right woman, NOT Helga ;)) that it would look lovely.

Thanks again everyone!! Just goes to show, you never know what's hiding in that pile!

You've got some great bids on that! And you're so right about how things other than the wrap dresses can be hard sells on ebay. I did want to mention that this isn't an older 70s vintage piece, however, because there isn't a umlaut over the U. I have never been able to determine the precise time she dropped the umlaut, but believe it was sometime during the 80s when she was licensing her name all over the place and had stepped back from the fashion business. Does anyone know when the umlaut was officially dropped from her labels?

I did wonder this after I listed it - but by the time I decided to change it, it had had bids. I just hope it doesn't matter too much....
