early 30s dress?

What do you guys think? I'm trying to date this dress...I would guess early 30s...what do you think?

Wow - that is SO pretty! I think it may be earlier - mid to late 20s, but one of our older clothing experts could tell you with more certainty.

And by "older clothing experts" I mean experts on older clothing - not that the experts themselves are older!

hahahahah....I get what you mean The reason I thought early 30s, was because waistlines started to return around that time. BUT, it could be earlier 20s before the waistline dropped a ton. Good point.

I'm seeing late 30s or early 40s on this one. The shirring on the shoulder was often used then. It's a very pretty dress.

Mary Jane, I thought the exact came thing about the shoulders, but I waited to saying anything cause I do see older elements to it as well and the teens are out of my league.

At first glace I thought very early 40s so I am excited to see what others say

It looks middly 30s to me, a bit matronly, and it would have had a black slip and a self material belt with a big buckle.

I'd like to put this one in the mid to late '30s and agree that it's matronly in style (nothing wrong with that: I love these dresses for my own wardrobe and they look great with a contrasting petticoat).
