Early 50s Smartsetter Dress???

Thank you for your help in determining the date of this dress. From looking through my reference books I'm thinking early 1950s..... metal side zipper, turned up cuffs. patch pockets, long straight skirt, and batwing style sleeves. Thank you!

I would agree with 50s on this one. I can see it being worn on an I Love Lucy show.

So pretty! I love the shape of the collar, and the way the print there is repeated on the cuffs and sash.

I don't think I'd call the sleeves "batwing" though? The armholes don't seem exaggeratedly deep...

I agree with Carrie...not batwing. This is a standard set in sleeve, albeit a deep one.

I agree with the consensus. Very 50's and very I Love Lucy as well!! I just loved the clothing on that show, especially Ethel's. This dress would fit right in
