Early Oleg Cassini help, please?

Firstly- do you see a warm winter white?

Fully lined; pinked seams; metal zipper up the center back. White Oleg Cassini label (with the R in the circle)- at the waist.Burn test showed a hardish black bead, so I don't think it's silk.

I'm thinking early 60s, and am crossing my fingers that it's a "good" Cassini? Opinions? Anyone have a narrower idea of date than early 60s? Thanks!

It sure looks early 60s to me. I've had 3 Cassinis from that time, and all had the black label.

But this sure looks like the type of things he was doing in 1960-64, much in the style of Mrs. Kennedy.

I love it.

A friend of mine just found the greatest book on Jackie, written by Hamish Bowles as a companion book to an exhibition of her clothes at the Met.

Jacqueline Kennedy: The White House Years.

Lots of pretty Cassini in it. It shows the dress as it was exhibited, then has photos of her wearing the dress, and setails of how the dress was acquired by her.
