Early Saint Laurent Piece what is it?

I found this robe/coat at the thrift in a laundry bag on a padded hanger. The tag indicates either 60’s or 70’s the bottom part has writing. I can’t figure out if it is a robe or a coat of some sort. The seams are all unfinished inside and I’m wondering if maybe it was an early sample piece? Any insight would be appreciated. It’s wool and color says camel i can’t read the style

Yes, interesting. I have come across early 1970's Laurent pieces that were lightweight wool coats or capes and were unlined. It does look more like a robe, but I suspect it may be a coat which possibly had a matching pair of trousers. Of course, I am speculating on that part.
