Easter dress - 40s?

Is this dress from the early 40s? I think it's a synthetic crepe, has lightly padded square shoulders, elastic waist, hidden buttons up the front and once had an extra long label (about 5" long) that has been cut out, sadly.

Hi, it looks later to me, maybe 70s from your pics. The synthetic and the elastic are also making me lean toward 70s and the flowers don't look right for 40s, somehow. Can you show the shoulder pads and inside construction?

I think it is late 70s, early 80s, too.

Now, if it were a little shorter, you might could pull it off with the younger crowd.

Early 80s is my guess. I had a very similar dress in 1982.

Thanks, Melody! I probably had similar cuts, too, I just don't remember There must be something in the 80s I would just rather forget :D
