Ebay listing title question - when is it XL?

I have a 40s dress measuring 44B 36W - could be belted in with matching self belt to fit a little smaller.

Question is what do you think counts as L, or XL in a title? And what would be searched - is it best to put the measurements in there instead?

:puzzled:

yes, l would too...becos if anyones like me they dont want to see EXTRA LARGE there when their heads are telling them they arent!! LOL

I could probably fit into this dress, and everything I buy these days says I am an XL.
However, when I search, I use (L, XL)... personally, I think that sizing ranges like these vary from region to region. What may be an XL here in ultra body-conscious Southern California may NOT be an XL in Oklahoma, you know?

Harriet, I would have put L & XL in the title and used a subtitle with the bust & waist measurements.... This would fit me (and I will be dashing off to see it shortly! LOL!), and I take what's generally considered an XL--I think "XL" is a very popular search by size on eBay! I also usually put a title (headline) upfront in the description and would re-state the L & XL, as I see you did, but also clarify by adding (14 - 16) or whatever it measures out to, in that headline.

Just took a peek--it's lovely! Wish it weren't quite so long, though. I am always a bit too short for the 40's lengths, thus my love affair with 50's!
