eBay pulled De Pinna coat

Well, ya can't blame a girl for tryin' but eBay pulled the De Pinna coat with the leopard fur collar...

I still fail to see how something that is clearly around 60 years old can apply to todays rules. Next time I'll just pass up those kind of coats, unless of course, it fits me. :D

Gotta be vague w/ leopard, I find. I havent tried to sell any, but I see them sold all the time....eBay doesnt pay attention unless they are notified, so someone turned you in. Maybe it was the week someone decided to go through leopard listings & report ones they thought were real.....maybe someone got theirs pulled so went after everyone else.

Sorry, its too bad.....lovely coat!!! Ang

Hi Deb,

Just saw this post, what a pain!!! I usually say spotted fur and hope for the best, I don't know if they will start coming after that too. It's best not to say it's any kind of endangered species, anytime I did say it, it was always pulled.

It might be wisest to say spotted fur as I believe those that know will look for that and put a buy it now on it at the price you would be happy with, that way it may be off rather quickly.

I guess we should burn all these furs as they are difficult to recycle!

Thanks for the advice Mary Jane. Maybe I'll try again in a few weeks with spotted fur. Although I have complained to eBay (I seem to do that a lot...) just in case they may see it my way - and that has happened once before on the purse where I said "lucite tortoise shell" that was pulled.

If I beleive in anything it's recycling - that's why I get peeved when they pull these oldies - burning seems so wasteful, but...
