P1010494.JPGP1010495.JPGP1010496.JPG Hello again, a dress of mine just arrived in the post and I was wondering if it is indeed Edwardian?

It has a silk under dress with hook fastenings(admittedly not it a very stable condition, though damage isn't visible when worn), as well as a silk chiffon upper layer(which is thankfully in pretty good condition), it feels incredibly light and delicate.

It's got lovely embroidery to the upper section as well as to the skirt, which was described as being almost Art Deco in style?

Thanks in advance for any help regarding dating the dress as well as the decorative motifs(embroidery)?

Also, apologies about my very pasty complexion, the weather's been awful here lately(curling up in front of the fire kind of weather) :)

I agree with Jonathan, it looks late 'Teens era WWI to me also. As mentioned, I also think there is a much needed part missing. It should have a longer skirt or underskirt which would give the dress a layered effect. It is not Edwardian, although you so see some people refer to the WWI Era as Edwardian. The embroidery does not look Art Deco to me, but is is beautiful.

Hello, I'm so sorry for my late response! It's been quite hectic with changing courses at uni as well as final projects.
Thanks do much for all your help, looking at the dress again it does seem clear that it's missing a layer. How might I go about storing it correctly?
Again, I'm ever so sorry for my late response!
