Inside reads "Noble & Lincoln" with address
You can imagine what comes up when you search any combination of Lincoln & hat.
Am I correct in thinking Edwardian?

Interesting. The hat itself looks Edwardian. Although the trims look a bit "wrong" to me. I think they have been added to the hat, but I would have to see it in person to be 100% sure. Maybe the fur was added to cover flaws on the tip of the crown, you can check that and see how the stitching was done on the fur. The pheasant wing looks not quite right to me also. It is sort of just "there" if that makes sense. Not integral to the design. Hard to say exactly why in words, but from a millinery design standpoint the wing looks oddly placed and should have more to it, perhaps something decorative at the base to anchor it, not just a raw end. Is the feather wing professionally sewed to the hat? Fur and a wing is also an odd combination to me. I really am just giving my opinion judging only from the photos.

I really do love the gray fabric and the shape of the hat, its beautiful. I am wondering if it would look better without the wing.

So I checked under the mink, might have popped a stich, but no fabric under there. The wing seems wired in.
I got this in an auction that had lots of fabulous clothing and hats. I also got a monkey hat/collar set (I know, but they still had it for sale) and a hat with a crow. I was outbid on a hat with king fisher wings. Maybe a costumer?

It looks like one of those hats from the 'weird' era of hats c. 1915-1921 that sport odd wings and trims, often made to go with specific garments.
