Eight different furs - any IDs?

I know it's hard from the distance, and I posted this elsewhere with no results - but.... any ideas on the IDs of these furs? I was thinking about selling them as a lot to the doll clothes/bear people.

They are mostly collars. Starting at the top and clockwise - mink? then white fox? and__?no idea about the long piece all the way across the table. Is the fourth piece a red mink ? (Is there such a thing?) Below the "red mink" is a stiffer off white fur. The next one (the one the "red mink" is touching) makes me think of a badger for some reason. The little clump of fur is a muff and very soft - I think it’s rabbit and I’m pretty darned sure the next one is racoon. If I were more computer savvy I could put a letter on each one to help with the identification. These were all bought in one lot.

Boy ... do I feel stupid.:BAGUSE: The sun is out today (I photograph in the greenhouse) so I could take more pix with better size indication and lining - if any of them seem worth singling (?) out.

Hi Amanda,

The muff looks like it could be chinchilla, the small gray collar looks like mink to me. White fox...raccoon next to it beside the muff. The reddish one looks like it could be mink too, it's a little hard to say for certain, unless it's china mink which is actually squirrel. The one in the middle looks like a fox.

I don't know if I'm right on these, but it's a start!

i am so not good w/fur, either

but i WOULD agree that the top one looks like mink, the white looks like fox, chinchilla on the muff sound accurate, the three grey-ish ones in the middle are stumpers...maybe raccoon, i think of badger as being more pokey than soft...

the red reminds me of marmot, or "stone martens" or mink and that little one in the corner is a stumper, too

:BAGUSE:kind of like thanks for nuthin, huh?? for heaven's sake...

You are all so GREAT  I took some more pictures ... if you are going to take the time to help me, I can try to make my questions clearer. Here's a close-up (ulp) of that "red mink."?

And you think this one is white Fox? Looks like a shawl...

And this is fox? It's two hides sewn together.
Again, it looks more like some kind of fur shawl than a collar.

I'm delighted that the fur might be chinchilla on the muff. Never thought of that. I can see inside a bit and there are small bits pieced together in places. There's a snap at one end, not the other - and a zippered pocket inside.

So list the muff and the white fox separately ? Many many thanks!

i would DEFINETLY list the muff separately, a couple of years ago we got $65 for a FAUX fur muff (it was yummy, but not real)

i'd actaully sell the big fluffy ones separately, too. we've done pretty well w/that sort of thing, too

Lovely items, Amanda--I agree about selling at least some of them separately. The individual presentations are great--definitely the muff and shawl are TOO NICE for doll crafts!

I'm thinking the "badger" one is raccoon also... (I recently listed a raccoon beret after staring at and studying it for days, initially thinking it was fox--my DH, a furrier's son, set me straight!)
