Hello all.

Hoping to get some thoughts on this dress and the designer.

I believe Ein Fink Modell was a German designer, but haven't been able to find out anything else.
I think the dress could be 1960s. Thoughts?
Not sure of the skirt material. Any guesses? I know it's hard to tell from a picture. :)
Thank you in advance.

This looks very late 60s into early 70s. I would call the ribbed looking fabric "Faille," but there are other names for that - we definitely have the others as well as info on faille in our fabric resource guide.

From what I can see Ein Fink Modell was a German company established (possibly early 60s) and dissolved in 1997. Owned by Hugo and Lieselotte Fink. I couldn't really tell if either was an actual designer, though!

I've seen a lot of these, kind of heavier fabric, sometimes with wispy parts - like chiffon - in this column shape with the empire seam. Kind of a "Valley of The Dolls" party, or cocktail, dress. Often sleeveless, even though the skirt is long and in a heavier fabric.

Thanks very much for the replies and information. I appreciate you taking the time. Looking forward to my continued education. :)
