Good afternoon from not so sunny UK!!
I have just acquired a beautiful evening coat in oriental fabric with the enclosed picture of the label in the back. The writing is not the same as the US versions, can anyone help as to its authenticity please, or is it case of a different logo being used in the UK?

It appears that we do not have that label in the resource. Perhaps you can add more pictures of the garment, so that we can properly date it - and then, with your consent, add the label to the resource?

I have added more pictures. When I first saw it, I thought it was a 1950's housecoat and even if it is, it will make a fabulous evening coat. I am more than happy to add the label to the resource.

I think it's later 50s - mid 60s evening coat, as well. That wide neckline is just too formal for a house coat. Is it a thicker silk brocade? Seems more appropriate for going to the opera or ballet. Beautiful!

Agree with Sadie: late '50s to early '60s evening coat. Very nice. Looks like a Chinese silk brocade, good quality.

I suspect it may have had a matching dress too... but I think its more 1958ish because of the length. If it were early 60s I would expect either just below the knee or full length.
