Embroidered Pyjama Case 20/30\'s?
I have seen a few more modern pyjama cases but never one like this, it also seems to be over-sized in comparison - it measures 17x13.5" I'm thinking it might be 20s/30's due to the art deco shapes in the cover, I don't know if the colours were typical or not. I felt the loose embroidery thread which is quite strange, very stiff and starchy like linen but more fragile so I've no idea what the gold thread is made of. The fabric is a very tight weave cotton I believe.
Do you think I'm in the right area? when were pyjama cases in this envelope style used until? Is there a reason for the size of it?
I would love to repair the overlocked edging as its pretty worn all around the main edges where it's obviously been handled alot but do you think re-doing it would look horrendous?
