Not sure of the era or authenticity of these heavy canvas military pants! The marking inside is illegible, looks official. They do not have the feel of a reproduction- the heavy fabric is a high quality and details like the "France" lettering on a buckle seem timely.

I am no authority on this type of garment, but the stitching does look to be military quality. Of course, depending on the country of origin, this could be what they could afford to have made. I wonder if the extra fabric at the knees (and the buckles at the ankle) might indicate these were for riding, either a horse or a motorcycle.

They have a sort of trendy look to them.
