Erny Winnie the Pooh Disney Sweater

Hello Everyone!

Is there any Walt Disney Studio fans out there? Picked up a knit wool cardigan with a tag that says " ERNY. With Walt Disney Company underneath. Any idea how old this item is? It needs a good shaving and will be ready to go. We don't usually handle memorabilia but this one looked quite special.

I don't know how close I can narrow it down for you. The woolmark logo that is shown in your 2nd photo was launched in 1964 so your sweater has to be newer than that. I looked up ERNY too and could only find a clothing company that sells furs in New York. I am not sure that they would be connected at all. Hopefully someone else will be able to come and narrow it down for you more.
 
Hi, Lifelong Pooh fan here :) The jumper looks 80s or 90s (as does the font on the label) the image on the front matches up with a purse I have from the 90's. The 'image' of Pooh bear changes over the years so the way he looks is a good indicator of age. It might help if you can get a better close up of the care label or tell us all it says. I rather suspect the jumper had a fluffier appearance originally and has felted somewhat in a wash.
