Etsy Haiti Fundraiser

There are some very lovely thigs, and it looks like sales are brisk!

Here's my little part: I will donate $1 for every blog comment made on my blog, The Vintage Traveler between 1/13 and Wednesday, the 20th. So far, it is up to $40.

I just posted on my blog and Twitter - I will match Lizzie's donation to the Salvation Army with one to Doctors without Borders.

So go make a comment - it's now a 2 for 1 deal.

I look at my kids and what we have... it just chokes me up.

I've donated, commented, and have talked to my kids - they've brought me $20 so far. Thank God they 'get it'~

My 13-year-old amazes me. He gave me $5 (all in coins, as his funds are at the bottom of the barrel!) for the Haiti relief effort, then came down later with $1 more in coins. When I told him he didn't have to give more, he said, no, he wanted to because they need it more than he does. I was so proud of him!

The little one said he was going to give $3 (his weekly allowance), but when he saw his brother give more, he decided to donate $5--pretty generous for an 8-yr-old.

I love my kids always, of course, but today am very pround of them both!

Sharon, how wonderful of your kids to give $20--they "get" it. Unlike, alas, many adults who could well afford to give, but refuse to.

It's wonderful to see the generosity amongst sellers here and abouts.

"Haiti earthquake death toll rises to 150,000 and could double" Every day brings more terrible news from Haiti following the devastating earthquake.

For my part, deadlyvintage.com is donating 10% of sales to the Red Cross Haiti Relief effort, through March 1.
