Evening dress - 70s?

Since the question came up on what to wear for the next time I go to the opera, I've been going through my evening dresses and decided to sort two more out that aren't quite "me" - and am hoping that I would find something a little more vintage and a little more spectacular instead (plus that opera coat that I would need as well of course :)). But before I list this one dress, I would just like to verify that I got the dating right.

I was thinking late 70s on this polyester / acetate dress?

I love the label - it says "dresses to fall in love with".

I agree with mid 70's. I could have done with this dress to perform *in* the opera! Our criteria for Act 1 of The Merry Widow was dresses of black AND white, I had such a job not getting a horrible floral or patterned dress! I do love 70's evening gowns, mostly because they're long enough for me. Do let me know where you list it.
