Ever heard of Bea Young?

I picked up this little number because the color and pattern caught my eye.

It feels like silk and has a subtle sheen to it, w/ metal side zipper.

The only tag is the one stating "Bea Young".

When I googled Bea Young all I could find was a couple of references to clothing and a 1954 ad for dresses.

Should I just go with "50's Day Dress" or is it maybe 40's?

Also, this dress has me puzzled~
80's perhaps? It has a nylon zipper in the back and the sheer crepe is woven as opposed to knit~
The neck strap is gold cord and the sides of the "hankie" layer are outlined in gold stitching.

Thanks so much!

The label sounds familiar, but cant think of where. Looks 50s to me, but wait for better confirmation.

Love the long red dress! I am getting a late 70s vibe??

Bea Young - I have seen this label over the years, but don't know anything about it either. I think that is late 40s or early 50s. It has a 40s look about the bodice, but is too long for War time.

Thanks everyone~

I was wondering how to describe this dress-
I get a "shirt dress" feeling but with out a collar I didn't figure it applied.

Thanks Linda, shirt waist sounds appropriate.
