Expert Help needed on this 1950\'s New Look Dress
This is another fantastic dress I have been hoarding due to some major but possibly repairable issues.
Would this be considered "new look"?
Overall the dress is in fabulous condition with strong fabric but some areas of the inside silk chiffon lining is shredding and there is a major rip on the left shoulder. There is plenty of fabric in the dress hem that could be used for a repair.
What do you guys think? I know this will be well worth the money to have it repaired by a professional, not by me as that could turn out disastrous.
Also, this dress has 2 labels that I have never heard of.
Labeled Talmack, John Moore, New York on the back inside neck and another label on an inside seam, Blum's - Vogue, Chicago.
Well :mad: I just found his label on the resource thread, it wasn't there last year when I looked, this is good at least it tells me for sure the dress is 50's.
