So I LOVE this dress! It's velvet not velour, it's one peice of fabric and appears handmade. But I keep thinking it might be from the 90's - what do you all think??

It has a side zipper which makes me tyhink maybe it is not 90's, but I don't know...

Thanks!! :beach: you're all awesome!!

It's burnout velvet (I hadn't seen anything like it before), and...checking again... yes the zipper is hidden, really well hidden...but at least it's inspired lol, I wasn't TOTALLY off base. Thanks again all!!

Cool - I must've been umm otherwise disposed of at that point in the 90's lol must've been earlier 90's- I remember Nivana and 80s punk rock lots of Nirvana and wearing 80s clothes or hippy dresses and silk shirts, along with my bright blue hair - telling everyone to umm go somehwere else... :D so funny now, I was such an angry teenager, but I'm such a happy person now - weird hey...

Anyways...

I am getting a bit better at spotting the 90s stuff anyways, ceratinly not a pro, but a bit better anyways...:) thanks again I SO love this forum!!

Goths love those dresses - I had a few in the late '90s and a friend called them "tracksuits for goths" because they're so comfortable, yet look good.

I should add that mine were second hand so they were probably in fashion a few years earlier.

"tracksuits for goths" ROFL that's awesome! I'm going to list it on bay (eventually), I hadn't thought to list is as goth, but it's so goth! It's also really nice and pretty though too - but pair it with some army boots (oh I loved my army boots) :)
