The label is not one shown on the labels link. silk fabric feels like a thin taffeta, back metal zipper.

I'd have to wear fishnet stockings to be just over the top with that neckline treatment. :sunshine:

The dress is mid 50's and Cassini worked some wonderful neckline treatments during that period. This could be one of them. I say could as the label looks authentic but he is very collectable so if you have the provenance that would help to confirm that the dress is original.

Just a follow-up...the label. Look at this Cassini which is in the mid 50's period and you can see the label clearly has the embroidered shield behind the name.

Wow--what a great neckline treatment! The whole dress is lovely, and unlike the 60's Cassini's I've seen. (As in, "nicer.")

Vertugarde: I may have to do some investigating about its provenance, but it may take awhile. Back to the label, this one does NOT have the shield embroidered behind the designer’s name. This is the back (hooks not fastened on photo)
