Fabric question on 60s BH Wragge suit

Hello All -
I found this great little suit at an estate sale this weekend and was wondering if anyone could tell me the name of the weave? Silly question, I know! It feels really light weight - almost like a cotton, but would you call this a basket weave knit?? It's a jacket and skirt - and had a little shell top that matched (made out of raw silk, I think) but it had such bad age stains, that I ended up getting rid of it :( I found lots of other cool stuff, from the 50s - 70s! I would've loved meeting the former owner - she kept several outfits from each era (perhaps her favorites?)

Anyway, would appreciate your wisdom!
Thanks
Lisa

I don't know if there is a specific industry term for that weave. I would call it a 'fancy woven boucle.' It's a great suit. Is that the original blouse that was worn with it?

Thanks, Jonathan! Yes, that's the blouse that was with the suit when I found it, and also by BH Wragge. You can't see it in my photos, but the top had water stains and multiple age stains (old perc etc) on the front and back.

I tried getting them out with sodium percarbonate handwashing, but even 3 handwashes didn't help :( Fortunately the suit is in really good shape!

Thanks again - much appreciated!
Lisa
