I love this photo of my paternal Grandfather surrounded by his four children and some of their friends. I would guess that this was taken in the early 30s. My Dad is drinking from the canteen. My uncle is on the far right in the aviator cap (he became a pilot in the Army Air Force). My aunts are standing on the wall behind my Grandfather and the rest are neighborhood kids. I think the little guy in front was killed in WWII and the one next to my Dad still lives nearby and they still do things together. (They are in their 80s now.)

Hi Linda,

It was taken near the top of Mount Wachusett here in central MA. My Grandfather was a great guy and always so much fun to be with. I'll bet they were having a great time that day. Don't you just love that cap he's wearing?
