FAMOLARE jellie shoes

I've spent quite a bit of time trying to find out more about these Famolares but to no avail. Since jellies were popular in the 80s, I guess it's safe to say that's when they're from. :) I can only find one other example of Famolare jellies but no info is included. Since Famolare styles were given names, any idea what these were called?

i'm no help for you, VV, but just to say i had a pair of translucent red plastic (more durable than "jellies") mary jane sandals in the late 70s, I loved them, and i literally wore them out.

i wonder if yours may be a bit earlier than 80s, too, possibly....I"m sure our shoe experts will come along for you! :hiya:

I have not come across them or anything like, but my feeling is that they are 80s or newer because of the imitation woven leather uppers and image moulded soles, which I've only had on 80's Beverly Feldman/ Frankie and Baby sneakers. The buckle also looks newer, with that antique metal finish.

Have you tried contacting them directly, VV?

this is from their contact webpage:

I would second Mary's suggestion to contact the firm, as I have found the company to be kindly responsive, as in this instance. In addition to narrowing down the dating, I also received very interesting information about the style:

I'm obsessed with Famolares, and have been since their introduction.
