I promised to report back on these two excellent exhibitions - I blogged about both of them but kind of forgot to post here too - sorry!

We also made it to the Musée des Arts Decoratifs for the Dries van Noten exhibtion, that was also absolutely great - so much eye candy, and so many different things to see! http://dollsfashionart.blogspot.ch/2014/08/exhibition-report-dries-van-noten.html

The kind of funny coincidence in the end was that both exhibitions had Dior's "Bar" suit on show. Of course it stands at the beginning of the 50s exhibition at the Galliera, but it's also on show in one of the first displays at the van Noten exhibition because he did a collection inspired by this look as well.
