Fashion history of a Barbie kind: Paris museum exhibition!

it's SO GREAT to see you, Maggie!!!! that looks like a fun exhibit!

oh, and just noticed, your top two links in your signature aren't showing for me...i've got pizza boxes...

Thanks! I read about it, but started just too late to make it together with the Galliera exhibition. Maybe I can make some time in summer!
Of the dolls in the photos - one of my absolute treasures, and one that I bought with literally weak knees: Queen Elizabeth I. The Dior Barbie in the Bar suit is one still on my want list... apparently she even wears appropriate undies!

Air du Temp -- we are doing a Ken show this summer 'Barbie's Friend Ken: 1961-1968 The Vintage Years' A collector of Ken who has ALL the outfits (from grey flannel suits to the astronaut outfit) is putting the show together for us!

He has that! Believe it or not, when we decided to do the show the ONLY thing James (the collector) was missing was the mourning suit that Ken wears as the groom to marry Barbie. Since the other show that will be on at the same time is a wedding show James said he would get it to complete the collection, but apparently that one outfit sells for over $500.00!
