Sara it might not be that bad, my advice is do not panic, that screen happens a lot on my laptop. Every thing might not be lost.
Your data most likely is still on the hard disk is just a matter of getting to it.
Which is not as hard as it sounds.

Oh nooooo, you poor thing. My old faithful completely died on me a few years back, just as I had officially turned self-employed - I think it was telling me something. We managed to salvage the hard drive though, so you may well be able to remove it and link it up to a new computer and copy everything.

Hi!
Don't despair. The same thing happened to me and I freaked. You'd think when it says it's dumping memory it's really dumping memory, but not so! You need a repair on your Windows. I don't know if you need a different disc or if you can use what came with your computer. You'll need someone with know how. We had computer support that came with ours.
Anyways, don't give up hope and good luck!

now my it guru nephwe, is quite ill...so am not apriority, my husband was with him yesterday eve...450 miles away and omitted to collect said discs....l mustnt complain...

l shall plot my strategy...quietly...but l'm not alone..

Sara...... just a thought, but it might be worth your time and tension to see if you can hire a PC person since your nephew is ill. This will be on your mind daily until you can get it back running!!

I have kind of hit the same thinking, because My Guru is family and I hate to keep buggin him even though he "doesn't mind".

May your connectors - Re-Connect!!
