Faux fur or real fur

Cannot tell if this is real or faux. If label is Fur Label Authority what does that mean. Can jacket be dated by this label?

It looks a lot like mouton (sheep) or perhaps sheared beaver. I don't think it is a fake fur.

Yes, it weighs a bit over 4#.

that fur authority label is great, I see we don't have one of those in our label resource (yet!) @Ranch Queen Vintage and I see no reference to it in our fur resource, either.

it sure looks like mouton to me, too. most of the mouton we've handled have been from the 40s.
