Faux Pearls?

I am trying to clean a scarf/glove set that is white with faux pearls.
As they are dingy I think I read somewhere to never use oxy on faux pearls or any.
Would a small amount of bleach work w/o damaging them or possibly something else?
Greatly appreciate any direction. Sandy

never mind. used a bit of bleach and all fine. I cannot see how to delete.

It's easy to lose the patina off vintage faux pearls so I would gently hand wash and see if that helped - if it doesn't you could try removing the beads and soaking the gloves in oxyclean but I agree that if you put them anywhere near bleach you're likely to damage them.

I was going to comment on this but saw that the pearls survived the small amount of bleach. BUT, in general it is not a good idea to get faux (simulated) pearls wet - because the finish can come right off!
