Looks like they are doing a major overhaul. Its happened here before and the withdrawal is painful.

actually I found that place through you guys, not too long ago. I only have a handful of posts there but I really don't like the new thread locking madness and heavy handed moderating that is in effect now. "can't talk anything but vintage" blah blah
I'm sure you all have friends you met through here or other vintage clothing places and once you get to know people your conversation will drift from vintage clothes, it's only natural.

I used to post there but got sick of the double standards......they want fantastic vintage but whine about having to pay for quality.
any time I asked about an actual men's hat or tie or something I thought they would know plenty about I was ignored.

I used to post there every now and then but rarely found it to be a very friendly place - like others, I found many of my posts totally ignored.
I was once pointed to a thread where one of the members was gloating about the fantastic deal he'd gotten on a 30's suit. From me! I posted saying that I was just happy it was going to a new home & that I was glad he felt he'd gotten such a great deal.
My post was never even acknowledged - they went on discussing the suit as if I'd never said anything.
I never bothered going back.

its a cool concept, I love people who love vintage....but from what I've read, they really have an animosity toward sellers who value really GOOD, old vintage.
it just really made me sad, the posts there ripping on sellers who "charge too much".....too much being more than thrift prices.
