So I did it, I found this pretty mannequin from the local lions thrift store for 40.00 ( i even got a vintage shirt that was on it included in the price!)

It's got the dense yellow foam inside and a zipper on the back.

So question, is the mannequin vintage?

It has an adjustable stand. not that it really matters much, but i'm curious.

An outfit i put together, Hopefully i'll list these items soon on ebay.

yes indeed, i love supporting them!!
I have no idea where i'd look for a brand on it! hmm
I tried even finding something similar online, and thus came up with nothing! ahh.

This is a Unique brand dressform and they are still sold today - so even though it may be older, I would not consider it vintage. I still have mine that I used in the 80's. The "unique" part of this brand of dressform is that you would accurately adjust the seams of the cover to your actual measurements, then put it over the foam, which would then squish to your body shape. This was not easy to do, as the foam was much larger than the cover. My recommendation? Never remove that cover!!! The foam tends to dry up over time, but if it is still springy, you'll have a very difficult time replacing the cover.

I bought 2 of these in the early 1980s for a theatre I worked for. Be careful with the ring adjuster for the height. If overtightened it can break, and then she will be a little person.

These are nice in that you can mush them in, so they are good for girdles and corsets.

And I second Jody's advice to never take the cover off!

I have one that is similar and really like her! Mine is my curvy girl, as that's what she came set as and, yes, I'm not going to even try to take that cover off of her! I like your cover better, mine is forest green with black trim. That shows through most garments, or it looks like she's wearing a ringer T under a cocktail dress. I used a large bit of thick white cotton muslin to cover her neck nub, shoulders and bust, and being able to pin into her made it really easy to keep that fabric contoured to the form.

Funny you say that, The ring adjuster IS broken.
Now, is there anyway I can replace it? ugh!
