Finck's workwear white jacket and pants... age/use?

I recently picked up the Finck's trousers shown below, and an unlabeled jacket. This workwear was sold to me as a set, though they may be by different makers. The button-fly trousers have the one Finck's label on the the back inner waistband. No other labels/tags of any kind.
Any idea, please, on the age of this white set and for what purpose it would have been worn?
Thanks once again for the help you all are always willing to give!

Finck's made workwear and uniforms, (their slogan was 'Wear Like a Pig's Nose) and as they have a chain stitch name on the waistband, I would suspect they were made for someone working in an institution that had laundry service - maybe a hospital kitchen? The cut of the jacket looks 1920s-30s to me.

Thanks so much, Jonathan. On close inspection, I believe the jacket and pants were not originally made together, so to speak. The weave of the jacket does not have the herringbone-type pattern weave of the pants. I'm surprised you can discern the cut of the jacket from my horrible photo… it takes loads of experience, I'm sure. :)Most jacket cuts look the same to me, LOL!
