Jack Dorsey, one of Twitter's co-founders, sent the first tweet on March 21, 2006.


I don't even use Twitter (I still don't get it...) however, I thought it was interesting how it has already been 5 years but seems like two or three tops. Time flies...

I don't think it was as well known with the general public initially (or probably not as used by the general public).

BUt it is true -- time is speeding up... everyone over the age of 40 knows it!

Yep, the older you get, the faster the earth spins. Experts seem to think it has to do with becoming accustomed to one's experiences.

As for twitter, I really, really like it. I follow about 200 people and institutions, mostly fashion related. People are always tweeting great links to articles and sites, so it is very useful. I also get a bit of blog and site traffic from it because I tweet new blog posts.
