Flower ID? What is this Brooch

Beth, that MUST be a Lisa Jewels brooch, right? I have a round version of one very similar to this. I keep alternating between thinking mine is a flower or a fern. Though yours looks more like a flower than mine does. Given that it probably dates from the early 70s, I would call it a stylized flower (a lot of stuff during that time was "stylized"--probably designed by folks on drugs!). It looks like a daisy, maybe a Gerbera daisy, which has larger petals than a regular one.

If it's a Lisa, it's pretty hard to find. The jewelry was produced only for a short time. It is nice stuff, although not well known.

Here's mine if you want to take a look:

Could it be an edelweiss – I come across those as (I think alpine) souvenir brooches made from bone.
If it is an edelweiss, it's perhaps a somewhat prolonged edelweiss ;-).
If it's a fantasy-flower, I think the petals/ foliage reminds me a bit of acanthus – like on the pillars.

MY first thought was a stylized poinsettia....
You find a lot of frosted gold tone for the holidays.
