'Foreign' Purse - any info? With photos.

Hi there,

My great Aunt gave me a purse she had found spring cleaning and didn't want when I was round the other day and I wondered if anyone could tell me anything about it. I'm in the UK if that makes a difference (I'm sure it does). I'm not sure how long she's had it but it is in it's original box which reads 'Daysun Foreign' and doesn't look used at all. It's still packed with tissue paper etc.

Any help greatly appreciated. I'm keeping it either way but would be nice to know something about it.

Very pretty, and it's always a thrill to find unused vintage!

I found a few eBay listings with "Daysun Foreign" stickers:

My guess is that your purse was a Japanese import, circa mid 50s.

So pretty. I love finding purses like this pristine. I always think of how special the purse must of been to the lady and what special thing she must of bought it for. I collect some Walborg Belgium purses and this reminds me of the beauty of them.
