Foreman & Clark Corduroy/Leather Hunting Jacket. Date?

So I've had limited success with researching this online. I've also had my tailor and dry cleaner look it over (both of whom have been in the business for decades) and they are both at a loss as well. The woman (probably in her 80s) that I bought it from said it looked just like a coat her uncle wore in the 40s, but she couldn't be sure. I found something that recently sold on eBay that looked very similar and it was listed as a WWII era hunting coat. It is made by Foreman and Clark. Made in Italy. Shell is cotton and lining is rayon. There is leather trim. The dry cleaner said that it looks like someone has had it dry cleaned in the past because of the stiff, whitish appearance of the leather. I had the dry cleaner steam out the wrinkles. So...can anyone place a decade on this coat? As always, many thanks to anyone who can help.

I can tell you one thing for sure - the other one that was listed on eBay was not WWII era if it was made in Italy! The Italian fashion industry only really gets into ready-to-wear production for export in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1940s you might find shoes and silk scarves from Italy and that's about it. This looks mid 60s to me - the very boxy cut, the colour, corduroy was big 60s/70s, even the typeface on the labels. I would think its mid-late 60s.

Another vote for mid to late '60s - as Jonathan says, these were very popular then, and the boxy ones tend to be '60s. The printed label looks '60s too, and the 100% cotton, rayon.....those only came in after the popularity of synthetic mixes, which you don't see in the '40s.

Thanks everyone! I thought 40s was too old. It looked 70s to me, but I just needed to make sure. I appreciate all your help! (Jonathan~I didn't look to see where the other one was made, but your response cracked me up!)
