I have to laugh, because I studied fashion at L.A. Trade Tech, a rather gritty, urban junior college. I remember once, the instructor had passed around a garment for demonstration purposes, and someone stole it! Things are pretty upscale at Otis, by comparison.

Julie, things were and probably still are a bit "gritty" at LA Trade Tech, but it is a fabulous school. No veneer--just good, old-fashioned courses. Claire

I have always thought about Fortuny as the "accidental" fashion designer icon.

He was just brilliant.

Thank you Claire. I was always proud of my first degree, from LATTC, and I loved attending. It taught me discipline, of which, I may need a refresher course!
