got home today from a road trip to Texas. Along the drive home I convinced my husband to stop at this little antique store along the way and it was a VINTAGE GOLD MINE.

And she only accepted cash.

And I only had $30.00.

And did I mention I only had an hour to spend?

She said her family has owned the place since the early 50's. The place was packed with amazing stuff - handkerchiefs, aprons, embroidery, table cloths, napkins, quilts, sheets & pillow cases, vintage fabric, sewing patterns, boxes of old embroidery hoops, 50's pyrex, tons of glass, fiesta, hats, and shoes. She even had a wash basin FULL of vintage buttons!

This is what the handkerchief/apron/quilt aisle looked like. (And there were maybe a dozen aisles.)

I thought about going to the next town to find an ATM and pulling out money, but we were on a family road trip and I already had a car full of stuff from my time in Dallas.

So with my $30.00 I purchased a hat, a full bed sheet set, a set of pillow cases, two frames with embroidery flowers, two loose pieces of fabric with embroidered flowers, and three handkerchiefs. I'm happy we stopped and I'm happy I had any cash at all (I don't normally carry any) but I wish I had had $500.00 and a day to shop!

The owner wished you did too..... When ever I find a gold mine I am low on funds..... Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh,
