I just love it--too bad it's only about a size 4 to 6 or I'd keep it. The fur looks almost like mink, but not quite. I'm guessing muskrat dyed to look like mink. Anybody ever heard of Monarch? There are matching buttons on the fur cuffs too, an unusual touch, I think.

Ellen I would love to comment on it but something is happening to my puter right now and I can't get the pic up. Its at a total stand still.

I will be back I want to see it sounds yummy

Oh I have never heard of monarch.

I've heard of Monarch! Either here, or I had one before. Of course I know nothing about them... hehehe!

I absolutely am in LOVE with this coat. That assymetrical cut is going to garner you alot of bids. Wish you would have had this when Carolyn and I were compiling photos for Vintage Inspirations Fall issue - I would have *had* to use this gorgeous coat. The first shot is great!

Wish I could help with the fur, but I am challenged!

Oh My!!! Fabulous coat! The cut, colour, fur, details - exceptional!

The fur looks like mink to me too, but after Marie's little fur quiz the other day, I realize I know a lot less about fur than the little bit I thought I knew!

Not familiar with Monarch.

I love the cut of the coat Ellen and those huge buttons just finish it off so nicely....

Can't comment on the label but I will say that this coat stinks of class, not only do we have the fur on the collar but it is matching the fur on the cuffs as well!!!

Very nice!!!:)

Nice fit and flare you got there! Great shape and buttons. I have to agree I'm slightly skeptical about that fur being mink, but I'm certainly far from an expert. On my monitor it looks more like red fox.
