My brother was an investment banker (MANY years ago when the profession was widely respected) and he had a meeting with "the colonel" to discuss some kind of merger. My brother said Col. Sanders dressed every day exactly as he looks in the ads - white suit - black hankie/belt etc.

(I think "grilled chicken" is a good move for them.... but I do like the extra crispy!)

I was reading somewhere (business week, I think) that a man dressed as The Colonel went out with a road crew that KFC had hired. They filled the potholes in the road then stenciled "this pothole filled courtesy of KFC" in short-term road paint over the patch. Pretty nifty thinking outside the box (bucket) on localized advertising.
