Here is the coat. 70's, I think. Anybody have any idea? I have looked on fur resource and cannot find.

Also, does anyone have a scan of a coat similar? I lost all of my scans when my computer crashed.

Chris, do you have any idea what the fur might be? I don't even have an idea to do a search.:duh:

It seems shorter than most fox I have had but I could search that one out.

Thanks.

Fox was also my first thought, but I'm not very familiar with furs, as well.

Actually I do have a (crummy) pic of a 70s(?) wool coat with a mink collar. Not that it's double breasted like yours, but it's all I got.

I just sold a coat similar to that for $45.00 on a BIN. What are the measurements on that? I might know someone who wants it. Do you have a vintage clothing store??

BTW, some think this fur is fox, some think it is possum and some think it is shearling. Whatever it is...my mystery fur..it is soft and supple and in fabulous condition. The coat is being listed tonight.

Thanks for everyone's help.

I'm one of the managers of a non-profit thrift store, but we get in a decent amount of vintage stuff.

And we sold the coat last week for $30. Would have liked to sell it for more but it had just been sitting around for months so I dropped the price. (It was actually one of my favorite pieces in the store; the collar was in absolutely beautiful condition and even had little scarf slits built into it.)

BTW, what is BIN?

Well, that is a good price. At least, you didn't have to pay any fees. Sure wish I was a manager of a thrift store.:D

BIN stands for Buy It Now.
