Fur identification help!

Hi there

I'm trying to help my mum identify the fur of this coat she was given.

It's mostly thick black fur with white stripes - I have attached photos. There is no manufacturer label, only a label with a little logo of a bear and something in German about the quality of the pelt (according to Google Translate) . Surely it can't be bear fur?!

Any help much appreciated!
