Gabardine dress?

I love this dress! would anyone be able to help me in trying to determine what the fabric is please? Using the resource here it seems to have the closest resemblance to gabardine, it feels very sturdy, like a suiting fabric and I have done a burn test which suggests the fibres are wool or might be a wool blend
Many thanks

What an interesting dress. I am wondering if it is not a silk & wool blend. No label in this one anywhere?

Hi Mary Jane, thank you for your reply. I was thinking there may be some silk in there, unfortunately I don't have the experience to be able to tell, it certainly feels like a good quality dress and the beading is stunning, looks much better in real life! There is a makers label and a small size label, I've added a photo

It is hard to be sure without actually seeing it and feeling it "in person", but in 2 of the 3 photos it looks a lot like a faille weave. I am not seeing a gabardine weave, although the weight and density looks to be similar so I can understand how you thought that.

It is a pretty dress.

Hi Barbara, thank you so much for your help, I had a look at the resource and that makes much more sense. I'm finding it really difficult to identify fabrics from just internet descriptions and photos, I've never actually touched or seen gabardine or faille (or maybe I have without knowing it!) I'm going to try and find an inexpensive way of buying samples of different fabrics with different fiber content so I have something to make reference to-I find it so confusing!
