General question about labels

Hello everyone! How are you?

I have a general question about labels. I have two items that have a number tag on the side of the article of clothing. Here are two pictures of what I mean -

It's not a size because the sizes of these clothing pieces are on the label at the top. These numbers are on the inside and just stitched into the seam. What are these called and are they related to vintage clothing in any way? I've never read anything about numbers like these but I am very curious because I only have two pieces of clothing with these numbers.

Just guessing, but could they be lot numbers, or an employee tag number? Similar to those "inspected by" labels

Sheila's correct: they're lot numbers. Internal labels that the factory uses, often to sort the garments for various reasons.
