First off, I would like to say I am glad to have found this great vintage resource! And I apologize for making my entrance with a question!

After looking at your label resource page, although there are no shoe labels, this looks sort of similar to some 70's font styles for the Givenchy clothes label. I'm thinking these shoes are from the 70's... what do you think? Theyre satin, size 7 AA (a tad too small for me, boo hoo!)

hello and welcome firstly fishtique!! STUNNING EXAMPLE OF c1972 in suede? like a mary janes, with stacked or moulded heel? lovely too tiny for me alas!!

Those are a really nice retro vereion of 1930s T Straps.

I do believe these were shown just a couple years ago, maybe 2004?? I remember because they weren't around long ( back to pointy toe stilettos!) and I kicked myself for not buying some in this classic style.

Now whether these are the 1970s or 2000s versions, I can't tell.

Definitely not 2000's, I was hoping for earlier, but I'm sure now they must be 70s. Found another pair on Ebay last night that were gold 70's disco shoes with the same Givenchy label inside. Can't find the auction now though for some reason!

Here's another black satin pair I got at the same rumage sale - a search on Ebay for 'round heel' turns up nothing useful... These are not, in my mind, iconic of any era (athough they're super cute) and I have onl;y a vague guess how old they are - possibly 60's, the gold stamp on the insole doesn't look like 80's or later. They are also marked strangely, no size, but the numbers 90. then b over AA, then 5220 17. They are Mayfair - which also turns up nothing except for a chain of modern low end canadian shoe stores. Mayfair being a common name, I don't think thats a clue... although I am iin Canada.

l must admit l have been thinking about your satin t bars, and wondered if earlier, but l dont hink the inner soles support earlier.
however those lovely black block heeled shoes are definately mid late 60's no doubt about that they are lovely too...you sure have an eye for shoes!!
