Hello everyone

Just thought i'd post about a vintage fair taking place in glasgow- I'll be there selling- so if you're in the area pop in and say hello!
Over to the Organiser , heres what she has to say:

"Calling all bargain hunters, lovers of stunning vintage clothes, charitable individuals and those who choose to be environmentally friendly!

Saturday 22nd March is the date for a quadruple whammy of an event which I’m hosting in Glasgow.

Oran Mor, the stunning converted Church in the city’s West End, at the top of where Byres Road meets Great Western Road is the venue for the vintage sale which I’ organising with friends to raise funds for The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and children's charity NCH Scotland and to promote my eco movement www.sayntotoplastic.co.uk

I’m on a mission to rid Scotland of plastic bags and if you’d like to show your support for a plastic bag free beautiful country of ours, sign the petition online at www.saynotoplastic.co.uk

20 friends ( including some musicians, actresses and personalities whom you may know ) will have stalls and will be selling fabulous clothes, shoes, bags and accessories for a bargain as we promote the reduce, reuse and recycle message. And I’m sure you’ll agree that buying second hand or vintage clothing is a great way of being eco and chic at the same time!

My girlfriends including Xfm DJ Lisa Littlewood and The Pretty Ugly Girls Aarti Joshi, Pam Scobbie & Lee Beattie will be on the decks playing a perfect soundtrack for a Saturday afternoon shopping with pals. The bar will be open for cocktails or coffee, whatever you choose and the other very important thing is, the proceeds of the event will go to The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

There's also a raffle and prizes include dinner at Oran Mor and a £150 for Cruise clothing.

Tickets for the event are £10 and that includes a “Say No To Plastic jute bag” which is natural, eco friendly, carbon neutral and 100% biodegadeable and it contains goodies from Aveda.

You’ll also enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly and canapés To take a peek at the fabulous venue, check out www.oran-mor.co.uk and if you’d like to buy a ticket or two, email [email protected]

It promises to be a great day out for us ladies and remember – it’s cheap, fun, for a great charity and you’re doing your bit for the environment!

Saturday 22nd March
12 noon til 6pm
Tickets in advance from Oran Mor in person or email [email protected]
£10 includes jute goody bag, glass of bubbly & canapes."

And if you'd like a stall 20% of your takings go to the charities, but theres no stall price. Or just come to buy!:clapping:

gosh l wish l'd known about this earlier, l would have taken the weekend off and brought my gear and taken a stall, do let me know if you are palnning any similar events.

good luck..

Yes, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm not the organiser though, I'm just there selling. But If this one is a success there maybe be more on the way, and I'll post if there is. It's the first vintage fair in Scotland that I've heard about, so it'll be nice to have something on this side of the border for a change!
