Gold Choker Made in Greece HELP Pls

Hi!
I am hoping someone can help me.
I inherited this necklace from an aunt. She did a lot of traveling and I believe she purchased this in Greece.
I would like to give this to my daughter for her birthday (as this was her favorite Great Aunt) and I would love to have some information about it to give to her.
Do you have any idea what the material is? I’m guessing it’s not real gold due to the clasp. However, I’ve never seen this kind of “rope” design before.
Also, do you have any idea about maker? ELITE Hand Made in Greece

I have a similar woven metal chain-design belt, too, but in silver, pink and turquoise finishes. Also made in Greece. The woven metal is definitely not real silver. The lady I got it from had mainly accessories from the late 1960s thru the late 1970s, so that is my best guess on date...
